FajrBuddy
The agreement between you and us when you use FajrBuddy. Written in plain English.
These terms cover your use of the FajrBuddy apps for iPhone and Android (“FajrBuddy”), operated by Rajib Moazzam (“we”, “us”).
FajrBuddy is an alarm and habit app to help you wake for Fajr. You need to be at least 13 to use it. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
Prayer times are calculated from your city and the calculation method you choose, and can differ from your local mosque’s timetable. Please check times with your mosque.
We work hard to make the alarm reliable, but your phone’s settings, battery savers, a flat battery, or the operating system can stop any alarm from sounding, so we can’t guarantee that it will ring every time. Don’t rely on FajrBuddy as your only alarm where missing it would cause you harm or loss.
FajrBuddy Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. Where offered, a free trial turns into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), whose terms also apply. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Your account data, such as your buddy, streak history and settings, is yours. How we handle it is explained in our Privacy Policy. You can download it or delete your account at any time in the app.
Don’t misuse FajrBuddy: don’t try to break, reverse-engineer or overload the service, access other people’s data, or use it for anything unlawful.
We may change or stop features, and we’ll tell you in the app before changes to these terms that affect you take effect. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
FajrBuddy is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a missed alarm or prayer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
